Tariq Keblaoui

Tariq Keblaoui is an award-winning Lebanese director, editor, and cinematographer based in Beirut. After graduating as Filmmaker of the Year from Central Film School London (2015), he directed his short film Al-Hmar (2016), an adaptation of One Thousand and One Nights. Following the release of his short, he focused his efforts on video journalism and documentary filmmaking in addition to his work in fiction, most notably leading Megaphone News’ coverage of the 2019-2020 uprisings in Lebanon.

In 2020, he founded Donkey Productions (the name an homage to his first short film), under which he has directed several music videos, fashion videos, and short-form documentaries about the events in Lebanon leading up to the August 4 Beirut Blast. Most recently, he co-directed Second Wind (2021), an award-winning short documentary about ex-prisoners in Lebanon. He is currently in development for his feature film debut, Shaheen.
